This is my movie that was based off of a piece of art that I found at Diversity Thrift. The first minute is supposed to be kind of unexciting and then the second part is more exciting :)
I think this pieces strength is really built from the interaction we have with the woman who enters the foreground. The chaos implied balances the relatively ordered landscape.
I enjoyed watching this piece, I like how you incorporated stop-motion to convey subtle, yet effective movements; I might also add the piece was balanced well.
that girl dancing in front of the camera was very interesting. what was your inspiration for that? i agree with chris, it is very unexpected which adds to the action. why does yours look like it was made with a completely different/better camera than mine?
I really enjoyed watching this--I'm interested to see the original image! I liked how the building "grew" in the beginning and then shrunk back down at the end. The birds are adorable! I agree with everyone about the claymation figure but I was a distracted by the hand that you can see at the bottom of the frame when she first appears.
I agree with Alyson in saying I enjoying watching the building (and the composition for that matter) grow. I like the claymation/stop motion feel because most people didn't go about the project this way. It kind of annoys me how you can see your hands when the girl comes to the foreground. But oh well. nice job.
The technique is a little distracting but leads to what could be interesting imagery. The story is a plus since most of our videos show none or little.
Awesome! I love the settle movements in the beginning - it really brings the sculpture to life. My favorite thing about this piece is the interaction with the other sculpture people :D! This is cool! Again, great job!
the constant motion kept me interested throughout the entire two minutes...i like the animation...it flowed well...im not sure if it was filmed as a whole or in two seperate occasions...but the two minutes was occupied interestingly
the pipilotti rist action was the best part. nice technique with the clay. the only small thing i would say is that the colors are kind of blah. maybe choose brighter background colors.
I noticed it Nicky :) Great job of course. I'm impressed it wasn't choppy, and the fact you were able to time it just right might just make you some kind of master of timing.
